Attention to our SPS Members, can you assist this man? My name is Francis L. McMillian. I was a two striper in 1968 when I was sent to Vietnam. I was in the Air Force from 1966 to 1986. I was sent to Phu Cat AB, from March 1968 to July 1968 with the 37th SPS. In July 1968 I was transferred to Pleiku AB, RVN from July 1968 to March 1969 with the 633rd SPS. At all three bases I was stationed with two particular individuals then lost contact after Vietnam. After all these years I have been attempting to locate them. Unfortunately, I found the widow of one whose husband had passed away in February of 2015 through a site called "Find a Grave". This individuals name is William "Bill" Norberg, at the time he was married to a lady named Diane. Unfortunately, other than the fact that he too was a two striper I have no further information on him, where he was from or anything else. I am on a site called Air Force Together We Served. If you wish you may go to my Profile page at http://airforce.togetherweserved.com/bio/francis.mcmillian. By scrolling down under my ribbons you will find my assignments listed in order and you will find the 633rd SPS, click on it and it will give you some information. By scrolling down under my picture on the left, all the way down to the bottom, you will find a section about photos. Click on this and my photo album will appear. There are two pictures of Bill Norberg in my album, one is on the left, in a dark picture taken from inside of the barracks with him holding an M-16 bayonet. On page 2 there is a colored picture of Bill Norberg and I laying behind an M-60 Machine Gun. Bill is the one sitting up out of combat gear and I am the one lying down behind the weapon with combat gear. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE I was wondering if you maybe able to help me with some information. My father was stationed at the Pleiku air base in 1963 - 1964 (or 65). I was talking to him the other night and he said he had tried looking up some info and didn't find much. I'd give anything to get him in contact with any of the guys he served with. He can't remember the unit/division. Heres the information I have: William Bill Pruitt (Army) He was in avionics (he worked on Huey radios) Detached to airfield He believes they were hit Feb 10th ('63?) around 2:30am. 7 killed. He was burned in a hangar fire later and discharged after 18 months in the hospital. Any information you may have will be appreciated more than you know. Thanks for your time!
